It looks almost identical, like they simply removed the "hinge" and called it a day.

    Very different, yet still just as generic-looking as ever. We need something more original and iconic.

        We humans barely look that much different since the Neanderthal human software update

        If you want radical you need to follow ODMS like oukitel, with rugged smartphones or more rare brands like unihertz

        I blame smartphone coverage the radical smartphones are just as abundant as ever just that mainstream website will highlight mainstream news it is what it is

                  They sent a survey on the community forums (OnePlus) and asked the users which design we wanted. The mayority of us were tired of a hedious back design.

                    NOBODY wants to be radically creative. Sure, there may be gaming phones every once in a while, but even those are not really creative, because even they follow a predictable "RGB lights can't u tell i'm a gaaaaaaamer?" aesthetic. And the aggressive lines of ASUS's gamer phones gets watered down every single year!

                    I still remember the other kinds of notches Samsung offers, like Infinity-V. I have never seen Infinity-V used even ONCE, not even in a faux-version that could be created by software. I've also never seen the Infinity-U shoved to the left or right, such as in one of the Zenfone 6 prototypes. Another Zenfone 6 protypes featured a sliding design, think about containing higher quality sensors in a separate area that slides behind the screen instead of cutting them into the screen.

                    And then you have long lost simple things like the LG V10/V20 second screen or true RGB notification lights that are simple GONE from the market.

                    There are exciting concepts out there available to use, but OEMs refuse to consider them! They follow the design lead created by Apple which is rooted in conservativeness, sleekness above utility, and iteration (never overhaul).

                      Also hope we get bolder designs like the huawei p60/pura 70 or mate series.

                            This is so fugly.
                            Why why why why why?
                            This does not look expensive or sporty at all, the OnePlus 12 demolishes it.
                            It better be offered in eye-poppingly vibrant colors and finishes, because right now it looks like a low cost phone that ran out of budget in the mid to late 2010s, like no trying to pretend to be something more. So basic, so so so basic.

                                I swear that almost every Android device looks almost the same these days. Please do something more creative than a rounded screen with a hole punch on the top center and a square camera bump!
