TechJocky, 08 May 2024The term card is the US. In the rest of the world name of A... moreIn Czechia majority have Apple or Samsung. Is getting harder and harder to find phones like Realme, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, etc.
The only Chinese manufacturer who still sell good here is Xiaomi.
And Czechia is small country with average standard of living.
People just don't want g*rbage phones anymore, good only on paper. They were good first 3-4 years when they attracted the people with their low prices. Once people starting using them and see what they got for those cheap prices, they just got back to Apple and Samsung phones.
I still have an iPhone Xs as my main phone. And except the battery (who I changed once, and I need to change it again) that phone works perfect. No lag, no hick-ups, nothing, with latest IOS on it. And except watching movies, I do everything on that phone.
My girlfriend has an iPhone Xr, and she has tens on apps on it. She is practically with the phone 90% of time in her hands. Sometimes I wonder how that phone still works, but it does. No Android phone will resist in her hands, from similar year.

We also don't know how the data represents sales, no infomation on devices sold or countries they have been predominantly sold in (personally ive seen very little amount of people with the very latest device unless they basically live with their parents still and can just waste money or bought it outright which very few people in the UK atleast can, we're in a financial hole and a lot of our population is either homless or in serve debt or unable to work through illness so we arent affording those devices so easily). Put it this way in the uk, a 15 pro, not the max, costs £900-1000 for the base model, 15pm is £1100+ for the base model, so people will get it on contract, EE currently do £30 upfront and paying £61 a month for 3 years, ouch thats a braindead descision.
To me this proves that this is most likely the American market. Also is it basing per model sale or just outright sales even with trade ins/refurbished phones, doesnt seem to be more of these devices are being outright sold or the total number of devices made/vs sale of that product as evidence. ( iphones are far more expensive in most of the world and are manufactured at the same prices as android flagships and they dont have any accessories so thats an extra £100), apple are losing money and sales YoY and at a higher rate than "xiaomi and oppo".

So most of them stuck at the commodity low cost level, unable to attract people to buy their more premium products. They just cannot figure it out, so people will see them as cheap brand forever.

All Samsung devices available on both lists are literally bricks. According to the trend, the compact iPhone 15 will become the best-selling device in 2024. People simply do not want to buy bricks, especially if they are from Samsung. It's 2024 and people simply love compact devices and love them even more when they're from Apple.

While I prefer the form factor and the display calibration of the iphone, I've got an S23U (second-hand) anyway due to its better overall package

I completely agree with popular opinion. I would buy that nice, compact iPhone 14 for a lot less money instead of buying the Samsung S24 Ultra, which is literally a brick and is also priced at a ridiculous $1,149.99. It's incredible that Samsung has prices as ridiculous as Apple's even though its products are clearly inferior, but it's even more incredible that there are people who are willing to pay all that money for a Samsung device.

There are so many other underrated brands
Xiaomi, Motorola, Sony, Asus, Huawei, Nokia, HTC 💀💀
