Anonymous, 09 May 2024Exynos Sucks. We want Snapdragon. Even the Mediatek Dimensity chips are better value for money.

Anything made by TSMC is always better than a chip made by Samsung.

Wow not too long ago Exynos was considered better than Snapdragon.

SamsungRules, 08 May 2024Bravo, Samsung. Keep improving this chip; we will get there... morethey won't improve the heat of their chips. instead, they'd put more sheet of copper to make it run 'cool'

The Exynos W940 inside the Watch7 series should be 3nm, if previous rumours go to plan.

A phone that doesn't overheat if you look at it, like a Samsung flagship, or a phone that nearly melts if you accidentally say Siri? I think, I'll take the working one of those two.

I didn't try to defend them but, if I had, I would have had a lot of help.

My S24U burns like hell when playing demanding games. There's zero practical difference between my previous Note20 Ultra with the worst Exynos ever produced and the newest Snapdragon when it comes to gaming temperatures. Really disappointed with SD, I thought it will stay cool when gaming.

I have no issues with Samsung Exynos chips in most regards. The latest gen Exynos chips do have decent performance and power efficiency. My main issue with them is that their 4g/5G modems are nowhere near as good as Qualcomm's. And even when they use Snapdragon SOCs, they somehow (and for some reason) neuter the Qualcomm modems on them in some manner (the Galaxy A23 5G is a perfect example of this). If they could just improve the signal reception strength and steadiness on their budget phones, that'd be great.

Samsung must take customer feedback on board and work on making their chips run cooler, instead of using ad-hoc solutions like vapor cooling chambers.

                        So be ready for overheating

After Exynos 2600 ditching AMD's RDNA GPU, which was the only good thing about their chip, this will be the end of Samsung, when will they learn that tsmc is just simply better at making chips, and that Snapdragon chips are simply superior in everyway

All these delays, even though they just renamed their 4 or 5nm as 3nm.
Once it comes out , people should compare it with 4nm tsmc.

Until we reach terahertz level cpu processing, we are just getting marketing gimmicks.

Sounds like Samsung is getting back into the fight, it's just too bad they've lost a lot of their potential. Let's hope the next Exynos and Tensor jump on this asap, because it's a lot better than their current "4nm" node. Hek, it's better than the current TSMC +4nm and early-3nm nodes too. And it seems somewhat relevant to next year's proper-3nm node from TSMC. But the proof will be in the devices shipped.

I actually liked Samsungs ambition, and pushing for their custom architecture. They should have kept their in-house department and continue developing Mongoose. They lack in the GPU/NPU side, so it would've been great if Samsung was the one to acquire Imagination Technologies. Their fabrications were pretty competitive too until 2018. And now we're seeing a whole system being built. Not to mention they also manufacture the memory, storage, camera, display, and the housing modules. They're the real deal.

In fact, I would've loved to see Samsung stay away from Windows Phone and Android, and instead to partner with Nokia to build a Linux-Ecosystem for phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, TV Consoles. I had their first BadaOS and it was quite revolutionary at the time.

You know, to have an extra horse in the race:
                                        (iOS) Apple + Motorola
                                        ("Curios") Samsung + Nokia
("Windows Mobile") Microsoft + Blackberry + HTC
("Android") Google + LG + Sony + Siemens
....that would've been so good, instead of this slow and stale monopoly we have today!
