I can understand Lcd for cheaper price and reduced eyes strain. But 60hz is not acceptable in 2024, even for 200€ device, (not to mention this 600$ price tag).

Article says the tablets have a cellular version that takes esim, hopefully outside of the US it's physical sim like the iphones.

Biggest news here is the 128GB base storage. Finally, some improvements! This cements itself as the best tablet for $600, as you aren't hampered by a quite as paltry storage capacity. The markup is still probably extreme for the higher tiers though.

MakeMotoBetterAgain, 07 May 2024No thanks 60hz and LCD hahahahahave been complaining about base iPhone 15 not having 120Hz now and then but I actually tried the Air 5 and the jittering compared to my 120Hz redmi(Dimensity 8100) is noticable but much much smoother than a smaller screen size like the iPhone 15 or iPad mini 6 and kinda bearable in daily use. Comparing to the base Tab S9, it's compromising 120Hz OLED and bundled stylus for laptop-class M2 and bundled 20W charger (Samsung doesnt have it in the box which is insane) for $100 less so the 11 inch is good enough imo.

Anonymous, 07 May 2024Freat for productivity. No worry about burn-in 60hz and lcd is fine for 90% of people. ipad air is basically targeted for students/people who have a bit more money. they dont know what 'specs' are. they just want a decent tablet and thats what the air is.
for us gsm arena tech enthusiasts... its different
