    What? Literally almost every Android UI beside Stock Android uses rounded corner on it's icon, including One UI and most Chinese UI.

    > apple patented icons being on the desktop - so all android phones have to use slide out launcher instead.
    Also no lol. Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo (on their OriginOS) literally putus every app icon on the desktop, similar to iOS.

            IpsDisplay, 08 May 2024I'm going to guess it's better financially iP... morethe thing is, the screen shows just the cam hole in the one pic and then it adds the 'dynamic is(crap)land' at some interaction point. so it does not dispaly that ridiculous thing all the time. it is not a pre-defined use(waste) of the screen space. that's what i don't get. i mean the ridiculous massive notch at least was cut in from the top. with these 'is(crap)lands' there is a clear wide line of wasted space from the top edge.


              No original design, no good camera, no udc, no snappy 8 series

                The difference between the Axon 60 and 60 Ultra is so vast that they shouldn't really be part of the same family.

                    iPhones sells in the millions I would assume that the molds used to mass produce that form factor /body / shape would be far more economical

                    I can imagine the logistics must be much easier

                    I know we on the outside just boiled everything to shameless copying but the behaviour must be financial supported to sustain it

All android launchers have to use slide out?? 💀 I've never seen a more uninformed comment. Bro any OEM launcher can use rounded desktop icons, and many launchers on Android supports home screen icons only. Bruh what are you saying??

                                i have no idea why a decent designer would want to copy that aesthetic faux par that is the 'dyanmic island'. gotta be the one of the worst bits of design ever, right next to the massive half screen width notch. the fruit are not good designs, they have just gathered a militant following of people who like an eco system that say's yes you can do that and no you can't do any of that other stuff you actually want to do with it and we will lock it down so tight that you can't get around our rules. putin looks to them with jealousy.
