Everything in this article is correct regarding performance but average user will never detect the difference. Only thing it could detect is built quality which Huawei has pretty high.

I'm always cheering for Huawei. A shame that exporting one is so expensive (living in Brazil), it would certainly be my smartphone of choice. I only had a P30 lite back in the day, and I liked the phone.
But it's very cool to see they thriving, despite the sanctions.

Mostly to prevent nations to buy on behalf of sanctioned countries. That is a natural thing to do, unless you want crook states to own weapons of mass destruction?

Means you have zero understanding of history and how the present system works. US is the first truly global empire in world's history with crushing military, economic and cultural power, and obviously wants to remain it. You have to accept and obey this or you will be kicked out of the US world and don't get the goodies like chips and software. Successfull kicking off Russia is illustrative warning. China is next in line, this case is hugely difficult but nevertheless preparations are moving ahead.

All you will get with Huawei now is out of date chipsets because of US nerfing their capabilities so at present Huawei is just revising outdated inefficient chipsets .

only thing that i dont understand is why the F@@@ other countries must follow US. If usa doesnt want huawei products ban them in your country. Why the rest of the world must suffer cause US dont want them. Why intel/AMD/NVIDIA/Qualcomm/ASML/TSMC/SKHynix and all suppliers dont complain about their big loses? Xiaomi has produced things you could never think that could produce and yet they dont care. There are so many machines in all categories that use wifi and are security risk but noone cares. Only hauwei is a security risk and without proof

Nobody really cares about nm of chipsets if it's good enough it can be 10nm. Majority of the people don't even notice performance gains on cpu in the last 5 years. Because 99% of the time cpu doesn't even work over 10% performance. I see this as a win for huawei. But the pricing of their phones are way high for a phone without Google services.

They deserve awards for being able to make their own SoC considering that they received heavy sanctions even though they were still weaker than their competitors. Not to mention the big plan to make your own OS.
