Telegram doesn't have enough users in West and other than that there is no other alternative with significant user base.

FatShady, 10 May 2024only 2 windows (or whatever they're called) are needed... moreActually Calls are useless as well, you can just tap existing chat and call from there, it's same amount of taps as tapping on calls and finding the call there. Only two tabs which would be useful are Chats and Contacts (that was peak WhatsApp).

I've had it for weeks, they are of course make it worse and worse, their signature top green bar color is gone, now it's just some generic all white app.
Bottom bar which was simple with Chats and Contacts later added Calls and Status and now has Updates, Communties and Calls, while only thing I'm interested in are Chats and Contacts. If I need to call someone guess what I just open existing chat and tap onc all icon or I'd have opened Contacts, tap name and call, it'se getting more and more cluttered with useless buttons, Chats and Contacts were more than sufficient. If I wanted communities I could just use Facebook groups, same with Updates, if I wanted some social network I can use Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok or whatever, it's really disappointing the way WhatsApp is heading, it used to be simple IM app with calls/videocalls, now it's getting cluttered with all kind of crap, I wished they would at least release some Lite version.

2021 design was its peak. The slight slide to go to statuses and then calls was best era. The next design is a downfall. I hate channels or other update craps they provided including UPI payments.

While providing Dark Mode, Twitter / X had given two options. Dim and Light out. Former had Dark Blue color and later had Black color. Why Meta can't provide the same for WhatsApp? Give us the option of Black Color and you can continue to play like 'one shade darker' with that Dark Green color. By this speed, they will reach proper Black color by 2040.

only 2 windows (or whatever they're called) are needed, messages and calls, the rest are a waste of time for their devs and waste of time for us and a waste of storage for both of us...
