Apparently, Huawei has developed one for example but other Chinese companies have as well. Apparently they are in testing with brands and will likely hit the market with next year's flagships (maybe even some of the flagships lauching in October/Novemeber). This will make the ultrasonic fingerprint sensors cheaper when Chinese companies can supply them to the phone brands.

BigDisplay, 12 May 2024No problem, since they all began releasing phones with buil... moreThe benefit of a user-replaceable battery isn't only in replacing a battery that can't hold a charge, it's also just changing a battery that has no charge.
Compared to today's smartphones with constant checking of battery charge percentage, planning the charging and how much you can use it till you're somewhere where there's a power socket, and/or carrying big powerbanks and then using the phone tethered to it etc., using a device (e.g. a real camera) where you simply have a spare or two in your bag, when one is empty, you take it out, put a fully charged one in literally a matter of seconds and simply keep on working is almost a magical experience.
Quite remarkable we've let phone manufacturers make such fools of us and convince us that a hidden glued battery isn't an issue.

I could easily solve the "problem" selling my smartphones and live without it... But!

I wouldn't care whether it had ip68 or ip69 as it wouldn't make any difference really. Water damage still won't be covered by warranty. The ulta model is most likely the only one that will support band 20 unfortunately so that one would be suitable for import to Europe. The x100s and x100s pro won't I think as the x100 and x100 pro didn't so they aren't that suited for import to many European countries. Vivo doesn't seem to have band 20 on their phones with Dimensity chipsets. I think the only dimensity 9300 with band 20 support so far is the Oppo find x7.

                      I HOPE VIVO USE IP69.

Well suited for import thanks to LTE band 20 support..

8 gen 4 is already on the way I don't know what's the sense in this. Why not just wait and give your ultimate flagship by the end of the year? Not like the other flagship are bad. Give us something more ultimate next year then. Name it the x110 pro ultra ultimate 5g max.

I'll do that any time if I had a phone that long... I don't btw.
Imaging having a phone like my S24U with 7 years update with a built in battery.

They should have called these phones the X110 series.

New info say VIVO use IP69.

Come on Vivo, give us your juicy ultrasonic scanners. They last had it on the X80 Pro and everyone loved it and decided to not give it to anyone outside of China. So sad man.

The only hope of getting Ultrasonic scanners that are big is from Vivo cus Samsung decided to stick with its one and call it a day. Complacency at its finest

5 phones all called x100? It's a bit much, atleast one of these phones is gonna *really* underperform because it's sales will be cannibalised by the others
