      I am in South Africa, UK don't sell the Red (Scar)
      Sony South Africa don't sell mobile phones so I always order from an online store on ebay, but can't yet since pre-order is only at Sony.

            The "plastic" feeling you describe on Xperias is due to the frosted glass back, which is meant to make it less slippery.

                somegadgetguy might not like the new camera app (me, as well)... especially if shifting to other modes is just a swipe away... if it is like a multilayer pulldown menu, i am ok with it... as i do not want to "accidentally" shift to video mode while composing my shot...

                        That red color is sexy as expletive!!

                        I'm not a fan of the back material they say it's glass, the Xperia didn't feel premium to me, it felt plastic. I much rather a premium metal feeling frame and eco leather back over glass. The moto edge+2023 has the best feeling back glass I've felt to date. I suspect the 1+12 black is textured similarly.

                        I hope the new Xperia FEELS premium. Especially since Sony isn't competitive with pricing

                              Stranno, 14 May 2024Bezels look insane.its designed bring the selfi to the top, without blocking the selfit on the when you see full screen video, you dont want see a ugly black dot when you see a video and picture in the middle.

                                To me its looks exactly like Sony Xperias from last years i see barely any changes.
                                In other words same useless garbage like design with zero improvements from outside.

                                  If they made the screen corners rounded instead of sharp, then got rid of the chin & made it just like the Google Pixel 4, it would be perfect! 👌

God forbid them from following any kind of lame display cutout trend.
