Huawei Pura 70 Ultra battery life test is ready

15 May 2024
The phone's Kirin 9010 chipset is held back by the old 7nm node that it was made on, but it still does quite well in some tests.

As long as it contains some US tech involved though they seem to have the power to do it. I'm not sure why they have this power but they do. Is it because they can force US companies to withdraw access to the necessary technology if companies don't comply? I don't know. Eventually though I think it will backfire. There has been a huge acceleration into R&D investment in chips and communications technology in China since these restrictions. Even Huawei increased R&D investment and started recruiting more high level semiconductor engineers immediately after their access to smartphone processors was blocked. I personally know one high level Semiconductor expert who was recruited by Huawei from SMIC immediately after the ban on a huge salary through a colleague of mine in China. I thought they would give up but they did the opposite

MediaTek chips are designed in Taiwan and made in Taiwan. The US is truly a stain on free trade and competition.

CamoGeko-XDA, 16 May 20247nm in 2024 just kills a phone for me, why bother lolYou even didn't used the phone with the Kirin 9000s or 9010. And, how do you know? Benchmarks? 😂😂😂 bro, benchmarks are just benchmarks. The real life experience is important. Not benchmarks.

Just my opinion, 16 May 2024even MediaTek ? Yes, mediatek would need a special license to Supply Huawei. I don't think they have supplied Huawei since the ban so they must have no license. Whether they applied for one or not I don't know but it appears they don't have one anyway

US sanctions are hurting Huawei a lot.
Sony Xperia 1 VI is doing 50% better with SD8gen3.

So the student (Honor) has beaten the master (Huawei)

With a real 5G modem and CPU they would do a lot better but with so many US sanctions i am glad they still preformed very well.
