      Prices still can't compete with Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo or Honor. Same price range as their competitors flagships but with worse hardware...

        Kinda out of topic, but I wonder if Motorola has their own app store in China version. Since iirc the global one have nothing other than Google Play Store.

          I think for most people the deciding factor between Iqoo n Moto might be the Flat Display vs Curved Display. Most people usually prefer one over the other quite strongly.

It has a much bigger and better main camera sensor with the OV50H and F1.6 aperture replacing the old OV50a with f1.9 in the x40. Also the 3x 64mp OV64B periscope replaces the 12mp 2x sensor on the x40. The camera also brings new features like better motion capture tech to capture moving subjects. The camera hardware is a pretty big jump so cameras would basically be the only reason.

                  A crippled SOC with last years modem, so why not buy last years Moto for a lot less?

                    1. it's not as good as phone "x"
                    2. it's camera isn't as good as phone "y"
                    3. It has the wrong chip
                    4. And the biggie, it cost too much.

                            Even the Chinese variant is still too expensive. I was hoping it'd be a good value like its predecessors.

                              Ahh, like in many comments...just look at that price.
                              Nevermind, will buy it next year here in Europe for 600 euros or even less.
                              My Edge 40 Pro will be doing just fine by that time.

                                So this has the exact same pricing as the Iqoo 12. Was expecting Motorola to undercut Iqoo.
                                The iQOO 12 was launched for CNY 3,999 for the 12/256GB model, CNY 4,299 for the 16/512GB model, and CNY 4,699 for the 16GB/1TB model.

                                Iqoo 12 has better processor (SD 8 Gen 3), bigger Battery (5000Mah) and more or less same camera system.
                                Motorola has better Front camera and wireless charging. And maybe better software experience. Not sure if that justifies the price for me.

                                  There's no sign this phone is coming stateside. Any insight?
