Other than that and before that Samsung made their own and still usually beat Sony and sometimes even outdid Nokia.
As far as desgin goes it looks fine and only butthurt jealous haters online think it's ugly.

I think that the rectangular piece on top of the front panel is either the place for the Sony logo or the speaker and earpiece just like the one that is on the HTC Butterfly S so aside from the speaker on the bottom of the Honami, there is a possibility that there will be another speaker in front for better sound quality and hope that Sony will make the sound on this smartphone banging! I was frustrated about the Z Ultra not having a led flash but I guess I will still love Sony coz of this Honami! :)

Samsung may only have the edge of putting the best software to make the shots attractive and that should make Sony learn coz it is a little embarrassing that they are the one supplying others even the Lenovo K900 is equipped with a Sony camera lens and sensor so Sony should figure out how to make the best software to tweak and do the tricks for the best image reproduction in their cameras. If Sony learns that, Samsung should start praying coz they are starting to make a mess out of their own GS4 phone by producing a lot of GS4s in different names that is very unflattering! And not to forget, Sony is on par with HTC and Apple in the design department and Samsung owns the title of the ugliest designed flagship phones from GS3 to the GS4. That's two consecutive years bro and Sony has never done any $ucky looking design.

LG is the third among the ones who sold the most number of phones but I have to say that HTC and Sony are better than LG in some aspects but not way too much. I still love LG, HTC and Sony and they're on top of my list compared to Samsung and some other devices.

Huawei ascend p6 beats xperia z in terms of thickness(6.2) and in terms of front camera(5megapixel) and in terms of price. The Huawei ascend D2 specs similar to xperia z with water proof. Huawei design is Sony + iphone look alike.

fact. basically all smartphones are the same cause almost all of them can perform the functions of smartphone, most of them use android as platform only with slight differences, most of them are using the same chipsets and other processing thingy, whatever.. point is they are all basically the same only some have different strengths.. this manufacturers are balancing the functions, durability and design so most often than not, in order to be great at something they have to sacrifice another aspect just to please y'all.. what im saying is they're doing everything they can to come up with something good but of course people will always find something to complain about.. so choose what suits you and leave the rest alone.. there are a lot of good smartphones out there to choose from and if you don't like any of them cuz y'all always find something to complain about well go make yourself your own smartphone. as for me, I give props to Sony for making good ones..

A selling point and appeal of the excellent Xperia Z was it's build quality and glass back panel. I would be surprised if Sony decided to not do this with the Honami and opt for a plastic panel. Also, it will be difficult for a sensor fitted to a mobile device with the space hardware limitations to be of 20megapixels. Only very few actual cameras made by Sony (such as the RX100) actually feature sensors of this resolution.

lg sold 15.6 millions phone as of q1 2013.
sony sold lessthan 10 million phones as for q1 2013.
most people buying lg phone over sony phones.

That thing is not a xenon flash, I believe it's a IR transmitter, pretty common on Japanese devices.

This phone is going to be a big fail, mostly because of the design of Sony phones, they are all rectangular slabs. I personally like the design of the Xperia Z but what i don't like about it is the on screen keys which are annoying at times. If Sony really wants to compete with the upcoming Note 3, Sony must design this phone in an attractive way. This phone must be water proof, shock proof, dust resistant, shatter proof, scratch resistant, must have Walkman sound, a better camera with a xenon flash and a dedicated camera button, lens protector, big battery which will be removable, with the latest Android version with many many options to customise, totally bug free, high quality materials must be used in the phone, must come with a flip cover, USB OTG, HDMI, Bluetooth with A2DP... Sony must make this phone a all in one phone! This phone must not have on screen keys. Sony, listen me. Please take as much time as you want but make this an one time phone, that will be indestructible! And in order to compete with Nokia EOS, Sony you must make the camera far much b than DSLR's. Have success soon, Sony.
