28 June, 2013
There's also a dedicated camera button. The rumored camera phone supposedly packs a big 20MP sensor.

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2013This will definitely kill Nokia EOS. RIP Nokia. it will definetly compete with Nokia, but with this specs and latest image software mess up Sony managed from its sensors(Samsung and Iphone with the same sensor do a better job) I don't know if they would be able to "kill" Nokia's EOS, anyway I know I replied to a troll but you brought back memories when these 2 were fighting for the smartphone supremacy, no icr@p and samesong flooding with their endless marketing machine, just good ol' innovation "war", so in a challange Nokia - Sony, either way it turns out, only the customer is winning and no need for - "killing"

The return of Sony. But am not gone crazy yet until Sony make good use of the 10 finger multi touch, replace the glass back panel with a sola panel to automatically recharge the battery, and place an optical zoom camera in 6.5mm thin phone.
              Sony all the way. Make.believe

                  I think it's not a Xenon flash, I guess it's an IR-port.
I hope to be a Xenon flash though...

I rather to hav a thicker phone (like the ZL), moderate camera (8mp), non-water resistance but having a more compact and better battery performance smartphone (user replaceable will be even better).

Sony still doesn't done well in battery performance and software supports compare to others. But I'm glad to see Sony introducing the Triluminous display to their smartphone which is a great improvement over their previous display (at least from some comparison screenshots with the Z). Hope Sony will improve on this 2 aspects in future, but it seems Sony won't hav a big improvement on this Sony Honami's battery, I guess it will juz hav a slightly bigger battery over the Z.

i don't think this is the honami, most definetly a refresh of the Z (i guess sony is trying to do something like samsung, after a phone it's launched-->a new refresh of it comes after).
Gsmarena, the back is not a matte material at all...it's a case...if you look closely you will see it(is a difference between the first photo and the second cause you don't see the metal on the sides in the first one). Probably, sony doesn't want us to see something. Anyway, let's wait and see.

it will be a rival to nokia lumia 1020 with higher specs.

Cmon GSMarena... No Volume Rocker? You can clearly see it right under the power button. And for the back photo it's obvious that there's a case there. The power button is covered. Also the part of the camera seems to be covered, so the sensor might be bigger than what we see in that pic. Open your eyes people!
Also please remember that some rumors also mentioned a 16mp sensor.

Sony is stepping up the game and that's excellent. The phone has all the specs to steal the show but the design could have been much better, like removing the squared shaped key in the bottom middle of the phone and placing capacitive touch keys there instead of on screen keys. Hope there'd be some sort of lens protector for the camera and the xenon flash is truly stunning. I hope Sony would put a 4000 mAh battery for this beast and it will be removable and the internal memory should be at least 64GB with an option the expand the memory further and since it will be running the latest Snapdragon 800 chipset, so it'd generate heat while playing a graphics intensive game on it even for a short time. Hope Sony would do something about it...
                                Sony fan since 1996.

                                      Or is it?
Xenon and led? That makes sense, led for close photos and for video, xenon to use at longer range and for wider coverage but of no one as done such a simple and obvious thing maybe it is because it is impossible to,right?

"There's still another issue though – a 1/1.6" sensor is quite big for a phone this thin, so we're keeping our pinch of salt."

Yes, but how thin is this device? Looks thicker than Z Ultra to me...
