Even the regular s24 and iPhone 15 pro are big enough to be not usable with one hand (unless you've got really big hands). Hence, if you're going to have to use 2 hands anyway, might as well go with the biggest possible because of the perks that come with it.

Oh god!! They're gonna use thinness as another way to rip the customer off when we used to get thin smartphones anyway that was until the camera bump phase started. Can't see promax users being very happy that they won't have the best iPhone anymore.

It has to look good. Otherwise, it won’t sell well like the Plus.

        Thin phone=small battery.

I'd rather they make them thicker.

So apple is refreshing bendgate every 10 years now?

You can make battery thinner but larger.
This phone could be maybe even bigger than pro max to allow this, maybe cam setup of 16.

Foldables when open are now way less than 7mm thick.
Sony Z Ultra is 6.5mm, surely could fit larger battery.

I only imagine how it's looks like with slim/thin phone but with protruding thick camera bump. And the battery will get sacrifice for that too.

Great, more expensive less battery, still slow charging... Yey for "innovation"

the infamous bendgate is coming back.

                    Bendgate (2025) Edition 😂

Who cares these days, people will keep buying trash iphones, SLIM , what a naming.... Apple as always making dumb naming for it's phones....

But people will keep buying, no matter if they keep same old processor rebranded for 5 years in a row and asks 1500$ for it, people will get on loans to own the latest flashy iphone device, funny hahaha.

If any phone was thick like Asus ROG Phone 7 won’t have overheating problem stop with thin and small stuff

Ouifuf, 18 May 2024Apple: The plus phone isn't selling well, we need to r... moreTechnically speaking, all iPhone Bionic SoC has been based on Mac Silicon SoC since the A14. Yes, the A14 is based on the M1. Even the current A17 is based on the M3. So I won't be surprised if the upcoming A18 will be based on the current M4.

iPhone 6: iFold. (AKA Apple's foldable phone)
                            iPad pro 2024: iFold 2
                            iPhone 17 Slim: iFold 3
Apple already in the foldable market 💪🏾

Apple: The plus phone isn't selling well, we need to replace it with something better
Also apple: releases a thin phone the will probably bend in half again, is more expensive than the thicker (and probably more powerful) phone, and won't have the best camera of the bunch anymore.

The only way I see this going well is if they magically put an m4 chip inside the phone, which just isn't happening

Just imagine today where Motorola keep the Moto Z series alive and make a new Moto Z5 in a slim body with 5000mAh battery and a Moto Mods battery pack with the same 5000mAh capacity. It would easily be a battery endurance champ that could even leave both Sony Xperia 1 Mk6 and ZTE nubia Red Magic 9 Pro for dead.

                                  New worst selling model

"In case you're wondering why the Plus model will be discontinued after this year, it's simple - sales numbers."

Isn't the Plus literally the reason why Apple killed the Mini? And now Apple is killing the Plus as well?

Now if only they could give us a smaller diagonal size for the screen...
IPhone 5S, Samsung Galaxy S2 and Xperia Arc S(?) were some of the most comfortable and easy to grip/handle phones I've ever used in my life.

I won't mind the thinness if the display size is smaller than 5 inches (without bezels, all screen display)...

Bad idea imho. People tried the 'thinnest possible phone'idea back then (ex Huawei, Motorola etc) and that ended when the not so great battery tech back then, small batteries and terrible battery life brought them back to reality. Now that the battery tech has advanced quite a lot, looks like they are going down the same route again.

Bad idea imho, because unlike tablets, phones accompany their users almost 24/7 must have enough structural rigidity to do so.

Also those thinner phones were a nightmare to hold , especially without a case!
                                        I hope they rethink this....
