Looks like carriers are not wise at all they give Apple 600-700 $ and keep for themselves like 50 $ when they should provide a 500 $ service for a cheap 100-200 $ smartphone and keep for themselves 10x times the money they give to Apple instead.
So Apple is getting richer and richer while others are getting poorer and poorer.

Carriers are really really really stupid if they chose to give so much money to Apple instead of keeping that money for themselves. For example they give Apple 600-700 $ for every smartphone and keep for themselves like 50 $. Instead carriers should have provided a 500 $ service for a cheap 100-200 $ smartphone and keep for themselves 500 $ instead of giving them to Apple, really really stupid carriers.

It means they offered you a subsidized phone, so that you stay with them, but now that you want to leave, pay for the discount that we offered you in the first place :p

now I think nokia made a good decision with WP. soon samsung and other android giants will fall as local brands is making cheaper yet a good quality phone and china clones can imitate original ones with great accuracy.

This is a good new for all operators. Think most of reason is unlocking possibilities after contract is over. Absolutely glad, that apple will bancrupt, besause thay are too much prided. I have 2 iphones 4 and 4s, they are locked to Omnitel carrier, but when I asking to unlock , they said, that is payd service. AFTER CONTRACT period?????????????????? WHYYYY????

Without Steve Jobs there is no innovation happening to Apple. Tim Cook is just updating things that is already innovated by Steve Jobs. Apple must bring something new and better to this competitive market.
