Finly, 25 Jul 2013Google should have teamed up with Samsung for Nexus phone a... moreGoogle sends the requirements of the device to Asus. Then the device is made on the demand of Google. The design like this makes it ideal for e-book reading which 7 inch tablets were promoted for. That's why it is more longer than Samsung tablets.

Finly, 25 Jul 2013Google should have teamed up with Samsung for Nexus phone a... moreIn the Nexus program it's a bad idea to give all the gigs to just 1 Android OEM partner, that's why Asus got the nex7 while Samsung is in charge of nex10. Do realize that the next nex10 are already being worked on by Samsung (again)... which at this point it's much preferable to pass it to say Sony or HTC. But there's a multitude of variables (base cost, quality control, time to market ability/availability, manufacturing to match the finalized Google sanctioned RRP etc) that partners must be able to adhere to as well.

Anonymous, 25 Jul 2013nope, sensible people won't use tablet to shoot photos. Then why rear cam? the reason is so simple to keep cost down and also thinking that people normally do not use tabs to take photos like they do with phones.

Google should have teamed up with Samsung for Nexus phone and tablets. Asus tab has good specs but poor design and finish. Definitely Samsung has the best finish and compact design In tablets than anyone(pls do not argue... plastic...plastic...plastic...) Nexus 7-2 measures 200 x 114 x 8.7 While Samsung Tab3 7.0 measures only 188 x 111.1 x 9.9.
