Gorilla Glass won't prevent scratches.
Buy a phone and immediately put a screen protector on it. As soon as it comes out of the box.

but check in this website the Specifications of XZ and take a good looking at ( voting results - design ) and compare it with any phone from Samsung. also, see pictures of ( Xperia S - V - SP - M - ZR - L - Sola - Miro - and the best design ever "ARC" ) then you can tell if Sony is the best Company in designs no doubt.
yes there is disadvantage from Sony such as slow software update unlike Samsung, but believe me one day Sony will own the market .

You don't claim you buy the HTC One because it's one of the best looking phones ever, then buy a case for it. I don't even have a screen protector on mine and I don't have any scratches you can see without being in really bright, direct sunlight.

I don't understand why some people are complianing about the built quality(plastic S4), when you'll buy and put it in a case.You'll protect your expensive phone no matter what you'd say.There are so beautiful cases ,that can make you phone looks even better. For an example look at the Spigen Neo Hybrid or Urban Armour cases.I even prefer the plastic/polycarbonate material because its lighter, more shock absorbent and has less interference/signal blocking for Wifi/Bluetooth and reception compared to aluminum/any other metal

I'm more into serious looking phones such as apple, and Nokia this s4 looks terrible when 2 colours( black and white) were ONLY available the s4 was more cooler now it looks cheap
