In fact, it feel its very silly to do "drop test vs" to show which phone is more durable or weaker then the other.. results is sooo conditional. Good for only a gauge on each phone only.

They should just hit the phone with another phone and see which one breaks first.

Phones have been plastic for years and no one complained. But now everyone complains about Samsung using plastic just for an excuse to call Samsung crap. The plastics on the Note II are of higher quality than the metal on the iphone 5. Im not sure what is the point of having a nice metal or glass phone when you are going to put a plastic case on it anyways.

I actually feel samsung is still the best...i always use a case or flip cover..which im sure many ppl do...so does the plastic matter? also 3gb of ram is pretty cool
...another thing is every smartphone gets outdated soon enough its not only samsung eg take the one x by htc....it was lagging on tmple run...while note 2? still running strong. i just hope it comes out on 4th sept without the flexible screen and in only one variant( that is a problem i agree with...s4 snapdragon 800 version only 1.5 months after 600)

Samsung own octacore chip set failed big time, even S4 already already slashing price for its octacore version in my country, the biggest & fastest price slash for a smartphone o even seen. ..lol...

This so called cheap plastic you cry like a baby about is actually more less likely to break from a drop than glass or less likely to develop scratches than metal. I have the Note 2 and it is solidly built with no issues and doesn't feel cheap. And as for metal it only causes reception issues and bumps up the price and slows production. You have no idea what you are talking about. Anyway Samsung have said future designs next year are going to feature Kevlar

It may be plastic....but there is a reason for it and Samsung should continue with it.Plastic wont heat up as much as metal and also when the device falls off it wont be much of a problem

Perfect, now coupled with 32GB of internal storage and 3500mAh will be the ideal spec for this phab.

OK, we all have personal preferences - so some like bigger screens and some like smaller.

I think 5.7" is a practical evolutionary size increase from where the Note started. And remember that at 5.3" the Note created a new niche that fitted millions of people perfectly. What makes 5.7" especially appealing it not only gives a noticeable 7.5% increase in screen real estate, it very likely means overall phone size will remain the same while being thinner (and hopefully lighter).

Ultimately a phablet is meant to give phone size portability with closer to tablet screen size useability. In a year or so when tech allows slim enough bezels and phone widths make 6" screen phablets in same dimensions as current 5.5" - 5.7" devices, that's the time to bring it on.

Those that want 6" or more, well there are other high spec alternatives out there whereas the same can't be said of 5.5" to less than 6" range (only the Mega 5.8" really, which is mid range). If screen size and features are critical to you then you should go for a 7" tablet. Lets face at 6" plus a phablet today is not really pocketable so going 7" makes much more sense with a lot more practicality for larger screen lovers.

If it's made of plastic then "a deal breaker." I'm an Android user since two years ago but i am bored of all the crappy apps in Play Store, Google shits like spying on emails, location data, thumbnails, Google services for advertising of Google company and laggy user experience even after i have a quad core with 1 GB RAM. Enough with Samsung and Android shit! NOKIA LUMIA PHABLET HERE I COME!
