Tim certainly do not have a BlackBerry 10 device yet. You should realize that the latest BlackBerry devices requires no BIS for BBM or any other services. Thus BlackBerry 10 needs only a regular internet subscription just like any other smartphones.

AnonD-141584, 14 Aug 2013What frustrates me about Blackberry, is you need a special ... moreI live in Indonesia. With BB BIS it is Rp90,000 per month, say USD8.73 per month unlimited downloads and unlimited access to internet. Fantastic. Cheaper than non BB packages. Dont know where you live, but BB is cheap and good in Indonesia. When I travel overseas, just go on the wifi and everything works. What is your problem man.

Here in the United Arab Emirates, retailers said every week the price of BlackBerry 10 devices drops down by a small percentage causing them a huge loss as they have purchased the phones in a big amount and with a higher price than what its worth now. BlackBerry's biggest consumers are the Middle East countries, and right now it seems they're not doing very well. Also, the firmware upgrade issue hasn't been addressed with a solution by BlackBerry, convincing many BlackBerry 10 device owners to sell their phones and move mostly to Android platform here in the UAE. Let us wait and see what worse can happen?

What frustrates me about Blackberry, is you need a special tariff to access their Blackberry services.

A family member bought a Blackberry phone contract with internet. However, he was cheated by a mobile retailed and he was not told the blackberry services is extra. He only found out after he was getting billed for blackberry usage. (even though he was not using BBM etc.. ). He spent 2 years with Internet turned off. It was not possible to use Blackberry phone (and internet) without paying for blackberry services. So he was not able to download any Blackberry Apps.

At least with Android you can download Apps, without paying anything to Google.

I don't wanna see BB die. BlackBerry please cut prices on your smartphones to reach the masses to get developers supports. You can't lose to Androids.

Security is what makes those phones very good, so only BB and Samsung S4 with knox was approved to be used by DOD! No iPhones as they are shy. If Android apps are junk so do iPhone. Many developers make apps for both platforms

Now as a specs they are important because if I pay €500 I prefer to have a cutting edge technology not obsulete hardware as in iphones

If you don't use apps go and buy nokia 100 you don't need iphone.

I use NFC a lot. I have a business app which use NFC.

I can answer that with one clear reply: Use applications.

And if your application is junk.. so is the phone.

If your phone have low internal storage, its JUNK because it cannot install apps.

                          And android is junk...

See what it does to your brain:
                          1. You see specs like SD4pro chipset found in Xperia tablet as unable to support 1080p screen.. when ipad3 with dual core A5x can run greater then 1080p without even a hitch.

                          2. You see MP Camera as the new thing.. but never know about other useful facts.

                          3. You see all gimmicky release from user that i BET you never use at all.. Like NFC.

At least BB7 here has 2 reliable features for mobile.
                          1. Security
                          2. Battery endurance.

That's the advantage of sideloading, you have all the apps you need....almost i think

Blackberry is the king in terms of security, so I still stick with my curve 9220 even though some of my friends already jumpship to other brands. BB is so usefull on my field of work, and my phone is so secure, not even my friend were able to use it when he switch sim card, nor view/open the contents of my microSD on other pc's haha.

They should start giving away their phones for free. Maybe then they can get some new users, but I think even if they give them away free, people won't take them.

BB will sell this crap for $650... and this will also be huge flop... if their affordable phone (BB Q5) starts at $400 then BB's death is for sure....

BB should regain market by taking out affordable $150 phones then then increasing price by selling mid then high end phones... like Samsung did
