Nokia Lumia already has better satisfaction from end users than Samsung Android phones. You can already see that in Lumia user reviews everywhere. They always have better ratings. The low end Lumia 520/521 has been #1 and #2 seller on Amazon for weeks now. WP8 is on the rise.

AnonD-147377, 14 Sep 2013Nokia is over there is no Nokia! Its Microsoft now. There is and still a Nokia. The shareholders hasn't finalized the deal yet. I have read somewhere, the voting between the shareholders will be done in November. Until then, there is and will be a Nokia. Boy, you are jealous. I can feel that :p

Love this good News about Nokia. I hope Nokia shareholders are reading this and vote against selling the D&S part to MS.
I love Nokia but I don't care at all about MS

They are only making $10 per phone. Non-nokia phones are selling less than 2 million per quarter means $20 million which is very small.
Now that they own Nokia they can make money on hardware.
But it will surely bring more OEMs to WP and more sales.
They should keep hardware restrictions though. Also, services like skydrive and Skype should be pre installed.

AnonD-134497, 14 Sep 2013It's not going to be all Samsung now. Samsung is till now t... moreYes I agree with that. Now you saying samsung has most market share and bla bla. Few years ago when galaxy released, yes it was a copy from iphone but nobody thought that samsung will shake the world. But they did. They invented a lot of things and so now they are at top position. But if u want my opinion, market must need competition. If a comapny stays top for too long that will not be good for consumer. So what I want is competition. Mass market will get the most benefits of it.

the risk apple and nokia took is above those of android players. Among android players, HTC took the most risk in their product placement in the market
they both deserve better places than shame song

Microsoft's Windows Phone handsets outsold iPhones in Middle East.
Statistics are up to Q2 and Nokia practically sold itself to Microsoft years ago.

Don't know why but I feel really happy everytime I heard any good news about Nokia or Windows Platform. Best of luck for both. Really want them to do good. W8 is a beautiful OS. Only apps department is weak otherwise, windows is awesome and deserves to go forward.

frh, 14 Sep 2013Its going to be all Samsungs now, unless Sony gives some co... moreIt's not going to be all Samsung now. Samsung is till now the most Smartphone selling manufacturer but the emerging companies like Chinese companies, Sony, LG, Htc(may be), Nokia and Apple still present are effecting Samsung's sales. That's why we hadn't seen so much news about S4 lately(excluding 20 million units sold). As the competition rises, it will be hard and hard for Samsung to retain it's position.

AnonD-79514, 14 Sep 201340%???!!! Even Microsoft expects just 15% in 2017...
WP wi... moreThe 40% meant only for Middle East. For the global market share, it's only a prediction keeping other factors same but the fact is, it's future. No one knows anything about it so what if the share is even more than expected or WP8 will be no more? There could be a lot of possibilities.
I hadn't even said Androids' share is decreasing. According to the news, Androids' share is now constant and I believe if you have heard about Economic concept which is a valid-justified concept. There is Recovery, prosperity then recession. Android was on Recovery when it was below 60% in shares in Middle East. It's now in the stage of prosperity where it is at it's maximum output i.e 60% share in Middle east but after that continuity, there is recession. Shares begin to decline. It's just a assumption from my mind but that is what I have studied. You can check it out on the internet too.
On the other hand, my other concern is Windows Phone 8's shares' rising day by day at a very low pace and so as well as iOS which makes more growth of Android almost impossible because I don't believe, fools like that exists in millions who buy many platforms at the same time.
Once again, it's just a small victory for both Microsoft and Nokia according to Android and iOS users but it's worth being proud over it as "Windows Phone 8" is termed as a dead, no-selling-devices, limited-OS, Nothing-being-provided Operating System. Including these things, this is a big victory for both of the companies.
