Amazon has not responded to requests for comment on the report, though it stated that it has “no plans to offer a phone this year”

But I'll answer you, Samsung Galaxy S4 default ROM is noticeably laggier compared to the HTC One despite the One's sightly less powerful hardware.

Android is like General Motors used to be. GM used to make a Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick, Chevy & Cadillac version of most of their cars. They were the same thing, with different overlays and design. After a while, it just became redundant. Pontiac folded. Oldsmobile folded. Plenty of choices remain, but none of the redundancy and confusion.
