Even Adreno 330 would be too weak to play any good 3D game in that resolution.
When the display race outpaces the hardware race it can only be bad for smartphones.

Anyway, all the halfblind people here aside, i think i want a phone with the Sharp 4.5 inch Full HD display. That should have been the display of Xperia Z1f aka Z1 Mini.
I were surprised when i got my 440 PPI phone and could see some small imperfections on very small text on white background, i believe we need well above 500 PPI for perfection. Not that i need perfection, it was hard enough to notice the small flaws on 440 PPI, its not something that bugs me in day to day use anyway.

Waoh great we have another technology we users are gonna argue about if its a waste or not while our manufacturers will not even inform us before using it good readers are already calling each other blind ....but serious we need more battery,the ones that will last for a week and this 2k screen should be used for tablets ... I rest my case

Do you have ANY idea how farsighted a hawk is? They would be the last to care about PPI. If you wanted to make an example you should say a snake, they are very nearsighted and can focus on very short distances and should therefore in theory be able to see pixels even at high PPI. But a hawk or eagle, who have vision specialized for extremely long distances, are virtually blind at close range.

If i could sell reading glasses to everyone on GSMArena who need it i would be a millionaire. Really, if you cant see pixels and jagged lines at 330 ppi then you are in immediate need of coke-bottom grade reading glasses.
The sad thing is that these people will not admit that they need coke-bottom reading glasses, many do not even know how farsighted thy are. BUt i still request to you, please dont try to decide what resolution the rest of us need, same as you cant ban seksual intercourse for everyone just because you are impotent, and you cant ban walking just because you are in a wheelchair.

Its been proven that people below 30 with normal vision can tell the difference between 500 and 600 ppi, nearsighted people can see even higher ppi still (due to being able to focus on shorter distances). Apple propaganda is just that, it has nothing to do with reality.
