For a phone of such caliber 2600mAh battery is required to last a whole day with moderate use.
Yet Google went with just 2300, I hope they know what they are doing.

As for me, I'll wait for the official announcement and review of N5 , and if it doesn't score 55 hour of endurance rating than this phone will be worthless to me.

Not only would it have had a great battery, but superb build quality, too. Google dropped the ball on this one, I feel. The Nexus 5 could've been really great.

Coming from a nexus 4 which gave me a day of medium usage on 50% brightness I just couldn't chance that again with the N5, I love the advantages that the nexus phones bring but I want to be able to use my phone all day and not worry about power management.
Off the back of the rumoured N5 battery I ended up putting forward extra cash for the G2 and I will never look back. The battery on this thing is nothing short of amazing and it's a shame that this glaring strength was cut down for the nexus.

and more. all these GOOGLE must built it in the NEXUS.

The single worst thing about my nexus 4 is battery life. So if true that sucks.

I think that google should increase the capacity of the battery. I know that 2300 mah isn't bad but its low compared to other phones with similar hardware like the LG g2 for example which has the same processor with a slightly bigger screen .

Nexus devices just get all the latest updates but they are mediocre hardware-wise.

The battery capacity isn't everything, many phones especially from Motorola have "low capacity" batteries but are the longest lasting phones, and now that Google owns Motorola... Yeah just wait... The numbers aren't everything
