first I never had a single apple product . Has I hate apple concept.
I was a nokia guy, and the a samsung guy , times changes and I think this is the time for me to say goodbye to samsung.
you first need to activate with a sim card , and after you can USE YOUR SIM CARD in another region , at you expense paying roaming.
you cannot ,CAN NOT, use a local SIM , to save money .
And this is the true , please somebody here that actually has a note 3 please help me out here.

You have to root your device, risking voiding your warranty because of knox, another samsung treat,, and then run as super user app , from chainfire , region lock away.
if you buy the phone in europe It WILL NOT WORK IN THE STATES or vice-versa

Athlet... moreRegion lock doesn't mean it will not work in other region, Sumsung region lock means it has to unlock at first with a sim of required region. then it will work in any region with any sim. (According to below link)
