Motorola, wake up!! what is this price all about? just because it's made in US? check your competition.. you should make a nice phone and sell it at a good price. I thought you wanna be there, in the front lines.. you just made a mediocre gadget and you are selling like best of the breed .. come on.. be serious..

3 of us wanted to buy a Moto X but didn't. too bad, is a nice phone. They made it impossible to buy there custom one outside USA or without signing with one of their listed telcos.

Ok,if it was Nokia cutting prices there would be lots of hullabaloo about it not selling.

Annnnd since you're stuck with 16GB non-expandable storage unless you go with AT&T (32GB, still no microSD), no interest at all.

Wonder why Google's mobiles are not profitable... maybe it's because they're using this stupid tactic of tiered pricing for 'premium' amounts of storage. Apple did this over a decade ago with their iPods, then their iPhones... It's 2013, Google. It's not that hard to put enough space on these super-advanced computer phones. Stop treating consumers like they're idiots. Accessing cloud storage drains the battery faster, and all the cloud storage in the world means nothing if you're on a subway, a plane, a basement floor, etc.

Hey GSMArena... I'd love to see a feature story titled "The War on Smartphone Storage" where you investigate the business politics behind why manufacturers keep using these asinine limited storage models with their otherwise state-of-the-art specced phones.

t-mobile guy. $599 is too much, ridiculous considering the price of the nexus 4 and the expected price of the nexus 5.
