03 December, 2013
This is due to the site crashing on Cyber Monday and preventing many from completing their order.

Hi there,

I'm from Europe, I want to buy moto-x and ship to my country via borderlinx (package forwarding service). The problem with Motorola website is they update the USA Address given by this shipping forwarding company when I place the order and go further with checkout by deleting the extra info in the address). These info contains the client number so the company can know to whom this shipment belong to of their clients. I don't know any friend or a member of family living in US to send the package to me. Can you suggest any solution to solve this problem. thank you.

The site shows no contract instead of unlocked. Are you sure it is unlocked because if its no contract it wouldn't work on other carriers!

MamSash, 04 Dec 2013I didn't find unlocked version, in moto maker site you must... moreThe carrier versions are considered unlocked..however, like I posted before, you can pop a T-mobile sim in the AT&T version, but may not get 3G service since the bandwidths are different between the two carriers. I'm not sure why they just didn't make this like the Moto G. The Moto G is purely unlocked and the US version works with both AT&T & T-Mobile 3G.

Luis, 03 Dec 2013It's factory unlocked Pete. That's what you get fot $349. A... moreIt may be unlocked, however, it will still have the carrier logo on the back AND the specific bandwidths that carrier supports...Another words, you can pop a T-Mobile sim in the AT&T unlocked version, but you may not get great service (maybe only 2G coverage) since the t-mobile bands are different from AT&T....

AnonD-39026, 03 Dec 2013Don't buy it now let January come it will be $199.99 unlock... moreBest Buy never sells unlocked phones because they work with all the US carriers. They may offer it with no contract but that means you're still attached to a carrier. That's even more expensive than getting the Moto X on contract

It is surprising to learn that this device will not be available in Europe unlike the Motorola G which is receiving good reviews.
