Android is getting closed source after every updates and at the same time, Google is forcing people to use Google+, spying on user's personal informations and many, many more of pure evil stuff. I am soon buying the Nokia Normandy if the rumors about it are true or either gonna wait for Ubuntu, Sailfish OS or Tizen OS. Can't wait for this one.

There is still a lot of work to do.

So far Ubuntu Touch is not usable to end users. Just a few enthusiasts are using it on daily basis. Developers are focusing on user interface (Unity, Mir) problems, but basic functions for end user are still very unstable or not available. Ubuntu Touch are still running on top of Android kernel. Before Ubuntu calls themselves a new OS, this dependency must be removed.

I am using the Asha OS which for me is sufficient..

                            Now we have options..
                            1. Andriod
                            2. Windows
                            3. iOS
                            4. Asha
                            5. Firefox OS
                            6. Ubuntu OS
                            7. Sailfish
                            8. Blackberry(declining though)
                            9. Bada/Tizen OS

                            Did I miss anything??

Yep, those are the reasons I'm going to leave Android in 2014, Google is increasing the pressure too much, Android should change name to gOS. Or adOS. That said, I dont think Ubuntu is the answer, they are the Linux worlds equivalent to Samsung, full of "features" which mostly is half baked useless bloat. I think an Android fork is more likely to be the one to save the masses from gOS.
