foo, 17 Dec 2013pricy phone for spoilt peopleIf you can't afford one just say so instead of hating on it. There are plenty of things that most people can't afford, there is no shame in it. Although I do agree, I think a $550 price point would have drawn a lot more interest, including possibly me.

foo, 17 Dec 2013pricy phone for spoilt peopleIts a pricey phone for people whose work make it sense to have a waterproof big screen phone. It might not be a useful or too big for some people. As all things in life.
It is cheaper than other options, and when you think its big enough to save you from having a tablet with you, it really makes sense it starts looking very cheap in price :)
When you can get away with the QX-100 lens from buying a profesional camera, it looks even cheaper :)
When you have 4.4.2 update it looks even longer lasting.
But it all depends from people to people. No everyone needs this phone.
Still ambition must always run free. The world need more Z Ultras! and more ambition! (or course, and solve world hunger, etc, etc) :)

All phone prior to this one from Sony where lacking ambition.
This phone was the thinness, more waterproof than the S4 active, with a Magnetic conector that solve opening flimsy tabs for charging.
Other phones where born with lacking ambition at all. Not the first at anything. Zero Style plastic, flimsy, horrible, mediocre phones. Their software might be perfect from day one, but who cares? they are still horrible, lacking ambition, mediocre phones. They might be good phones, but lacking ambition to be the best.
Z Ultra was born to try to be the best. And in many ways, it still IS the best.
My iphone is not as thin, not waterproof, no NFC, no Magnetic Conector, No Bravia Screen. (as most other phones).
Rest my case.
And please, please forget about Sony, let every other manufacturer also be ambitious and PLEASE ALL try to always make better phones than the TOP ones. AND never stop trying to do it! Until someone does make a Thinner, Waterproof, better screen, with pen, with a more elegant style, nice to the touch (HTC One take notice), the Z Ultra is unchallenged!

You know why? No, it was not buggy, but much better than the Note 3: Beside the WaterProofness and Use any-penness, the multi window allows me to play, for example, PokerStars while browsing the Web until I get nice cards. Samsung multi windows is a fake, since you cannot use it in Ones favorites (or ALL programs), as in the Xperia :) Beside it way more elegant. (I come from the iPhone world, where style also matters :) )

hmm, let's see..... sony release a half-baked phone with a lot of bugs only to update it later, and the fanboys still praise it.
while other manufacturers release real updates for their already bug-free phones and those sony fanboys will still troll at those manufacturers? ok. now i understand.

The first version of software with which the sony phones launch and ship are always buggy or alteast weird and flawed in certain ways... But with the very first update everything is not just fine but superb!
I find this fact about sony really confusing but it is the way they work...
And now it seems even the GPE couldn't escape that fate! lol... But now atleast everything is normal!

Got the 4.3 update last night on my ZU... but why didn't they roll out the KitKat directly instead of 4.3 Jelly Bean?
