Looks exactly like Android OS with TouchWiz UI but the icons looks like a rip off of a 50$ Chinese phone. Bada users are crying today, and there's high possibility of Tizen ending up as another Bada OS because many people are aware that this is just an experiment which is highly prone to fail since Android is much, much better than this OS at the moment. An OS is only good if it has more native applications. This OS just has a layer which can execute Android applications but there are many applications that won't work because Google Play Services needs to be installed, thus resulting some applications to crash. As of now, Android rules.

what if the new galaxy will be tizen? S5 is also expected to be announced at MWC, what if it's the same phone...; that would be a billion dollar bet for Samsung; but I hope they won't do such a thing

Haha. In my native language tizen is the term for a person that makes frequent loud farts.
Regardless, hope this project turns out nicely.

If Tizen fail like Bada do, they'll go back to android & looking for another OS. if Tizen success then samsung might slowly move all the OS to Tizen.
Samsung & Google don't really trust each other, they both have huge ambition to conquer. they wont be together forever. Thats why google choose LG to make Naxus phone not samsung.

Tizen is going to be Samsung's downfall if they decide to replace android with it.

Two things made Samsung successfull in smartphones:
                      Copying Apple
                      Android
That's why Samsung is not very successful in other Electronic devices with huge ads.Samsung is nothing without Android and Google Services.

What happens if Google stops providing open source android to OEMs and just manufactures it thru their Motorola division?

I also believe that Google was expecting something like this, thats why they bought Motorola in the first place, same thing with Microsoft/Nokia.
