Same as the PS4 and XBOX one?
              Believe when we see it.
We've heard the bs before...But this is extreme.

Tegra 4 is still faster than S800. And power consumption is handled by fifth power saving core, as always :). And if you are talking about full power consumption, then it goes same on all chips - they heat up fast, they eat a lot, and no matter - either it's S800 or S805, or Tegra 4, or Tegra 5.

Unlike Nvidia, which has hyped its under-performing, over-heating chips for years.

You know nothing about mobile CPUs. The A15 has been out for over 2 years, so I don't know why you're complaining about "old" CPUs. Snapdragon S4 Pro had Krait 200, Snapdragon 600 had Krait 300, Snapdragon 800 had Krait 400, and now the 805 has Krait 450. Nothing old about Krait.

AnonD-183110, 06 Jan 2014RIP S805. S800 is almost equal to A7. So, if Nvidia is 3x f... moreDon't bet on it. This is still a 28 nm chip, and the laws of physics say that there's only so much work you can do with a given amount of power on a given process size. Meaning that, since they didn't perform a die shrink, the only way they're going to get the kind of dramatic performance improvements they're claiming is to significantly increase power consumption, which won't work in mobile. So I'm sure Tegra K1 has better graphics than XBox 360 and PS3 IF you give it 15 watts or so.

I'm calling it now: this will not be significantly faster (if at all) than the Adreno 420 in Snapdragon 805. Remember, Nvidia made similarly dramatic claims about the Tegra 4, and we all know how that turned out. I'd love for this to really be a great SoC, but at this point, Nvidia has simply cried wolf too many times for me to believe anything they say.

Never under estimate the leader in gpu power and 3d performance.

I'm sure that LG and HTC will show great interest in the use of such mobile hardware.

Go on NVidia show them all who's the king of gpu.

They have yet to optimize it for certain devices but the lag was there. It was a drop on framerates probably because it isnt fully optimized to be used. But dont worry they will fix it because it is just an announcment. They just wanted to show how powerful it is.

NVIDIA is a powerful chipset and just to let some of you know, NVIDIA does have LTE connection, let's just hope they did a better job at battery efficiency this time

Remember, Nvidia is top GPU manufacturer of the world, so mobile GPU is no doubt the best in the world. I just didin't expect Nvidia would release this beast so fast.
