Moto X in the Philippines cost 800-900$ for a used phone and more than 1000$ for the brand new. >.<

Moto X isn't dated. It came out in August and will be relevant even in 2015. It has so much buzz around it despite Nexus 5 / Galaxy S4.

I dont think Moto x would be a hit, but bringing it here, could at least start to build the infrastructure for future Moto X kind of devices with more up to date hardware.
The Moto X was kinda interesting as it had a pretty good display for a compact model. The camera was supposed to be something, but it wasnt, so that was still a compromise. And the CPU was not the latest version, but that was probably to keep the price down.
The z1 compact is only slightly smaller, but with noticebly smaller display, and without the OLED tech. But at least it feels up to date, in all departments, except display to bezel ratio perhaps.
If next generation X arrives soon, it could probably give the z1 compact a match (probably not in the camera department though, but with bigger screen in same size body, probably not in materials in the basic configuration, but with quicker android updates and lower price).

The Moto X is available in Mexico, I don't know about other countries besides obviously US, even a cousin of mine has a black Moto X.

Moto G is the first step back to the market in Europe, hope this will be the Moto X to make it overseas. The Moto G is a nice device for Motorola, hope the brand will become popular as it was in the time of the slim RAZR clamshells. Those were massively popular everywhere.

Dieudo, 07 Jan 2014EU or Europe? These are two different things.Any of those would be nice. Haven't seen a Motorola in years and they make a fine product... A few years ago Motorola has left most EU/European countries. They even left Russia which alone is a huge market.
