Another Samsung exec: No Galaxy S5 at the MWC

We'll get Tizen instead, while the S5 will launch at a New York event in March.

        Anonymous, 14 Jan 2014Samsung is confused wether they make s5 compact or bigger. Im sure they have no doubt that the first priority is to get it out with bigger and higher resolution display and more useless bloat and defective features. Then a while after they will get the S5 Compact out, im 99% sure they will copy the name of Z1 Compact and keep the price very high but they will not go all the way with high end flagship specs like z1 Compact did, and still S5 Compact will outsell everything else combined.

                          Makes sense, S5 is big enough to deserve its own event, probably like last time and this time with events more places around the world.

                          Good for Sony also, now its sure that Z2 will be the brightest star of MWC.

                            Now making sense. At MWC, there will be a lot of Samsng devices. Announcing flagship like that won't be that much interesting and fascinating for customers because they already have seen enough from the competitors as well as from the company. A separate event for a flagship is the best idea and very positive for the early sales. +1
