I wonder why then, in my country everyone uses either an iPhone or an Android phone, no matter what their social status is. The rich, the poor... They just dish out whatever money they have for a flagship/iPhone, even if they are living off our taxpayers' money. It's called a First World country. "iPhone is for the elite"? Pfft. In a First World country (or at least here) even a hobo owns a smartphone. Only a brainwashed communist would say something like that. And yet you still have a computer and internet access.

Android for the masses, iOS for the elite..
No wonder android is the king in every forums because of their cheap prices.
The Elite rather buy iphones or android flagship phone and shut up.

Simple, iPhone 5c is over priced to the extreme! So it wont sell as the budget iPhone when the price is not.

In australia, The 5C has one of the best rated antennas and as such we sell heaps of them in rural areas. Good reliable phone.

On the positive side, I guess the relatively high price of iPhone 5c did succeed in steering more people to the more profitable 5s.
I am not sure how much an increased volume from a lower price would have made up for the decreased per unit margin for Apple, but it was disappointing from the consumer perspective.
It would be interesting to see what would end up being the winning balance for Apple's business.

iPhone 5c failed because it was not meant to be. Steve would have not approved it at the very start.

android could never compete with iOS . It lags and sticks . I have both so I can tell u . The 5c was a failure but in the future apple is gone fix their mistakes as they always do.

That is because, however amazing it be as the Apple fellows quote... such outdated features in a plastic case is priced too high.
41K in India, I think 30K was fine.
