MediaTek outs a high-end octa-core CPU with LTE support

The new chip is expected to butt heads with Qualcomm's SD805 for control of the premium LTE market.

With this chip MediaTek MT6595 I think big companies Dell, HP, Acer..... and more need to new 14"inches tablet with specs:

1.Display.- 14"inches QHD - IGZO
2.Memory.- 3 GB RAM
3.Chipset.- MediaTek MT6595

        Read up the anandtech review. It's also named a17 because it will match a15 with a lower power consumption.

            Awesome. I want a cheap, mid-range processor with LTE. And this is exactly that. Why would you want/need a Snapdragon 805? I certainly don't want to spend extra money on benchmark scores. For real life applications there is no difference between two processors with 30k resp. 40k points in a benchmark. It's all just a game now a days...

              Those new mediatek cpus offer very decent performance and experience now and halve the price of many phones.

                      Mediatek chips are a lot better than some people think. You should really watch some power consumption comparisons. As well as watch it's performance comparisons after running a few benchmarks.

                      This looks to be good at least on paper so far.

                        a-17 are mid range. Why not use two a-57 cores instead of 8 a-17?

                          that's my favorite chip, and this chip now include in acer, lenovo, panasonic.... but please the phone need's be not bigger of 4.5-inch and all phones with this processor need contain IGZO scren

                                There is full official info about Cortex-A17 cores. Looks like this is upgraded Cortex-A7, not powerfull Cortex
