Why should all the phones be the same? let this phone be different and except that, be ok with the fact, is that hard?

Whats the point of having android if you have no access to the play store? I fail to understand how this mediocre device is any more attractive than the current asha line up!

Im one of those people who've been waiting to see an android lumia, and this is seriously depressing.

So there wasn't any Google native apps like Playstore, Google Search, Gmail, Hangouts..wtf how can they called it an Android phone? Such a waste of time. I would rather wait for Blackberry Jakarta.

Too bad 95% of all new Android apps will not run on a forked version of Android. These tech people are clueless. Any new modern Android app links with google libraries that are closed source, or they need services from YouTube or the Play Store etc. Unless Nokia has reverse engineered all this Google code, they are in for a surprise when no apps will be able to run on this phone. (I'm an Android developer)

So Nokia will make there "here maps" application for Android OS with dedicated offline maps and navigation, awesome, it will only be a natter if time that the apk will be able to be side loaded on other Android make devices and bam real "Ovi" maps for Android, just like the old days of Symbian sis apps from Nokia being able to be side loaded onto other Symbian devices like from Samsung ...

some Indonesian devs already had the prototype in hands since January. but they were told to keep it secret.

Anyhow, the real question: is the bootloader unlocked? How long before the GPL portions are made available to the public? -- When will Cyanogenmod start it's work on this phone to bring us the full Android experience?

The fact that it looks like it's running a cut-down, simplified version of Android is impressive.

It's got higher specs then the last Android phone I used to, so I'm expecting it that it'll run quick.

Can't help but wonder what would happen if Google returned the favor. Tried to "Fork Windows". And believe me, the pun is not lost on me. NOR is it lost on Google either, I'm quite certain.
Let us ignore this "Trojan Attempt" by Nokia ( aka Microsoft ) to derail the onslaught that is Linux. Once scoffed at by both Mr.Jobs, and more so by Mr Gates.
