Punisher, 27 Feb 2014Yeah right. I think all phone companies are getting lost in... moreLike u said ~
That is Logic ~
But there are too many mobile "EVENT" for Mobile Company ~
If they didnt make use that "event" to introduce their brand, They think they will lost it ~
Not like Iphone , Apple is big Company ~
Apple can make Event on their own ~
While others dont want to waste money on that ~

But I would like that to happen too like u said

        Yeah right. I think all phone companies are getting lost in every way. Marketing, strategy, evolution, support etc. Every 6 months would cause a problem on market. Overflowing consumers with million choices would be a backfire. In the end Apple would win consumers problems by simplicity. They have only one product. Iphone 5c is a mess also. But they did noticed it right away. Solution would be as simple as cars. Life cycle must be pushed longer to maybe 3 years or max 4. Cars cycle is 7 years before new platform. In those years there are other stuff. Refinement, upgrade and update, design tweeks, stability, new tech, So for exp. push iphone 5 in 3 year cycle but work on other stuff. new cpu, battery capacity, igzo panels, OS optimization. design tweek corner there or corner ther, shiny trim there, but dont change the whole thing. decrese in selling price by 25 procent to 35 procent in life cycle and then introduce a new platform. All brand new phone. New design etc. Lone for car is about 5 years contract as standard and optimal. Thats why life cycle is about 7 years and of course the new concept cost enormous amount of money. I think ARA project is a winner if they update platform in every 3 years as a "new" product. Sonys Omni design is only one year old but where are tweeks. Its not old. It's still hot. Still fresh and unique. Try one more year and change design and it's over. Don't go back. But make Z3 more improved in design also as a omni design. And that would make a stand point for every company. Find unique design for phone and just follow it thru in 3 years and then make a whole new thing. contract is in 2 years and that is logic.

            I do not believe this is true. The Z1 was mostly Sony testing the ground, that is why Z, Z1 and Z2 were so frequently released.

You don't need to feel bad for me or every Z1 user cuz I bought it by my own money. I wanna give my money to get a good phone from a respected electronic company! PROBLEMS?

                Instead of releasing flagship every 6 month, why don't Sony release a co-flagship? Like samsung s series and note series.

                Maybe they can launch xperia z ultra2 with on board stylus in september? A direct competitor to samsung note4.

                  Actually what Sony doing just same as other manufacturer ~
                  Like Samsung ~
                  1st half of year , S-series , 2nd half of year, Note Series ~
                  Just that Sony keep refresh Z-series so that it is not with older chipset .

                    They've been doing this ever since Ericsson times...

                    Xperia Arc -> Xperia Arc S
                    Xperia S -> Xperia V, T, TX
                    Xperia Z -> Xperia Z1
                    Xperia Z2 -> Xperia ???

                      Some people may not like the fast cycle of changing the flagship but you don't get the better picture here. Every new flagship means price down of the previous flagship meaning more chances for people to afford these phones. It's a huge advantage to many consumers who cannot easily afford high end smartphones.

                        Feel sorry for Z1 owners, they must be angry!
                        but wait... where are they? None..
                        Because nobody buying it, despite so many fans worshipped it here.
                        Why? perhaps it's just paid Sony fanboys that don't translate to real life!

                        If it were that positive like Xperia Z, Z1 comments on this site, saying they 'will buy', the best, etc... Sony would've already replace Samsung as no.1 seller in the world!

                        Congrats Sony! :-P

                                    And what's wrong with that? Your phone remains unchanged as you bought it if I'm right. Just that sony should not abandon their phone updates and that's all right for me

                                      Ridiculous. Z1 is expensive until now and if a person think about buying it, forget, because the next will be coming.

                                        Xperia S > Xperia T
                                        Xperi Z > Xperia Z1
                                        Xperia Z1 > Xperia Z2
