    @The Main Man

if you buy a phone based on looks, you might as well just get a dumbphone as you would surely have infinite choices based on aesthetic and design.

Not everyone especially not the sheep get a phone to be an attention whore, I myself upgrade a phone base on Camera performance (low light, fast focus, noise, etc...) Screen Quality (does it suffer black clipping, saturation, real estate, does it fade out overtime or suffer from burn in, smearing, ghosting, etc...) Audio (speaker, dac) RF chip (how well is the signal reception on low signal) and many more as it is impossible to get the perfect phone and you always have to choose what compromise you are willing trade off based on what you really want.

people who bitch and moan about the looks of a device are the most dumbest and annoying whiners ever.

Other than that I really do not know what's wrong with taking a successful and well thought-out design and make it into something greater. Audi seems to be doing well with it!

For me it's a big fail. What's going on with all these repetitive designs? I mean when i buy a new phone i want people to know...... THAT ITS A NEW PHONE, not a recycled version with extra bits here and there. I certainly hope LG does better as they are now my last hope.

I like the general line of the phone...but I really hate that bezel line that's higher than the screen.. hope it's just because it's a pre mass production design, not the final one.
I really hope that the camera has ad least 8mp..4mp be them Ump..are just not enough.
I don't care about microSd..I have a 32Gb HTC one X and never filled it completly.
And about the video, I hoped it's a marketing stunt, carefully planned by HTC so none will get hurt in the process! But I have to agree that it's a very dangerous game

AnonD-10287, 04 Mar 2014We only know 3 clear facts from this video: 1. it has mult... moreIt's true that pre-production phones usually tend to resemble the previous versions (so that they can "blend in" and be tested in the real world without raising too much attention), being the novelties introduced just "draft lines" of what will become the real thing.

Still, looking at this one, I would guess this version is pretty close (in looks, not build quality) to the finished product.

If this is a marketing stunt then it's a really (REALLY) dangerous one, one that no real corporation would even risk, since this would send the message to their employees that "as long as it's your kids that leak-out our classified stuff then it is OK" (a precedent no one really wants to have).

Thus I believe this kid has done some real damage to his parents job, which is also kind of ironic, since I've never liked some of the design choices of the original HTC One (namely the positioning of the bottom buttons) and -- if it weren't for this leak -- I would have never waited for this phone to come out before making my next buy.

This really should count for something, maybe his parents can get a severe reprimand but "be lucky" how the leak plays out.

So, it's 99% sure this is not final design let alone software. I believe HTC will amaze us again...maybe not as much as with original One, but it will.

We only know 3 clear facts from this video:
                        1. it has multitask bar
                        2. it has microSD (ad least At&T version)
                        3. It has dual camera.
Beside it's not necessarly the final design (being a pre mass production phone)

The best thing would be if this it's a promo! This way we talk about phone, the parents don't get sacked for a stupid teen who wanted "glory and likes" on internet!

Wow! Uhm the guy like risked everything in the video including his parents career just to get famous and you people are still talking about the phones bezel. Cold hearted.

This mystery of the dual camera is obsessing people but if you think for a while it's not that hard. There are 2 new hot features in today's cameras: HDR and most recently refocus/DOF. Both improve drammatically the quality of pictures in various scenarios but crucially, both rely on taking 2-3 pictures with different parameters and merging them, which with current single cam setups does not work that good, because you have to hold your hand still for a good 3-4 seconds and even a slight movement between the snaps ruins the picture.
Here you have 2 cameras that can do the tricks with a single snap and no blurr, ALWAYS.

Looks good overall. However, I'm left wondering why they removed the capacitive buttons (the home and back buttons). There's obviously plenty of room next to the HTC logo to put the 2 buttons in. Being capacitive, it won't even take any room underneath the glass. I see that now they are using the virtual buttons like the Nexus phones, but why do so if they have plenty of room for buttons already?

Well im not against on screen buttons but they just unnecessarily added bezel. Why did they leave the HTC logo when it could it have been moved elsewhere or just removed? And even Samsung with their non existent innovation were able to make the S4 smaller than the S3 while increasing the screen size, so dont go on saying it was necessary please.
