It feels like some one must be having there hands on this incident because of such popularity and preorders of Galaxy S5..
However, Samsung would manage anything to be on Top.

Yep..may be we will see the next S6 before this year ended. The ugliness of S5 has made everyone appalled, so calm down everyone, the next Galaxy S flagship will resemble the galaxy J more or less..NOT!!

$1 billion or something more, that is not important. The entire premises including WIP, finish products (S5) etc. are covered under insurance. But what about human casualty? That is more important! Even if they are also covered under insurance. $1 billion is nothing for Samsung or for that matter for anybody in front of human being. Respect!

geordie81, 10 Mar 2014Love how some people are still trying to make jokes about ... more$1,000,000,000 is not small by any means for any company..
However I agree. This was a monstrous fire. Lives and pollution are a much bigger concern. Then the profit which it really sucks. Damages and rebuild.
Not to mention the people put out of work.

Hope it does not happen to any other places

Love how some people are still trying to make jokes about profit and other companies, regardless of what you think of any company, at the end of the day this is one hell of a serious fire and main concern at this time should be about any employee safety, not how much money went up in smoke or how people hate samsung or apple or whatever. This is a small setback in terms of finances and release targets but for now it is about lives only.

why do you all care about s5? you should be asking if anyone is hurt!

I don't think $1bn is a lot to samsung, considering it is such a big company. I am more worried about people getting hurt.
