You have to love the haters that are coming out of the woodwork... Hey look its plastic when in fact it's not plastic. Its polycarbonate, the simple minded don’t know the difference, which is available in a ton of item we use every day. If you’re purchasing a phone “just” because it has a metal casing and not its specifications you’re being very short sited.

I bought my gs3 for cash R8000 equivalent to $800 last year from Vodacom. Now the same phone as second hand is costing R2500 ($250). The value depreciation of the Samsung S models is just too bad. My next phone will be a galaxy note. Note series holds the value better than the s models.

S5 having 2gb ram is the main fault. But it does have the much faster chip.
Just because Sony says "noise canceling" does not mean it's the only one. Or that it has the best audio. The S5 more than likely has better audio output.
Bigger screen????? .1 inches......wow...meanwhile the Amoled of the S5 is way better and brighter...that's what you notice.
Bigger battery.....Sure that's nice....the S5 will still last longer anyway. Plus it has the ultra power saving mode. And the battery is removable and still water proof.
As well as world first water proof Amoled.
The S5 is still smaller
The S5 has camera advantage too. Especially in software tuning, video audio capture.
And more functional software. Safe to assume about updates to. ...

Give me my plastic backed GN3 over a glass/metal iphone anyday.

aluminum or the other's metal material not so friendly for the users, because they can make the phone very hot. so i preferred to plastic! haha x

It's all preference. And the plastic feels a lot nicer in hand than most gsm trollers want to admit.
Nor is this glossy plastic..
It's Poly Carbonate too. Not cheap plastic. And it brings many advantages to durability, practicality, and heat resistance.

For instance what the entire internet is saying...
The S5 was a tiny bad update and the Z2 is amazing and great update....But the Z2 is a smaller update and the S5 has the upper hand in technology...Not in every aspect and not by a huge lead...But still does.
