Samsung Galaxy S5 gets rooted ahead of its global launch

The S5 offers very few improvements over the S4. The camera, processor and battery are slightly better. You get a fingerprint scanner (big deal), a heart rate monitor (big deal) and it's water and dust resistant (though you will have plastic flaps over key parts).
You lose the menu key, it's heavier, bigger, there's a magazine view and Touchwiz now uses iOS 7 inspired circles throughout the UI.

So, everybody says samsung has same design? What about sony Z1 and Z2? Htc one m7 and m8? iphone 4, 4s, 5, 5s? They all look almost the same. So many samsung haters here... And speaking of performance Z2, M8 and S5 have same processor, same display resolution, same os, it is not big deal if score 1 point more in benchmark test. If you don't like it don't buy it and get a life.

I've had all the Galaxy S range so far. I got the S2 over the S primarily due to the flash. The S3 was an awesome upgrade on the S2 and I still recommend it to people over the S4. I got the S4 only because I had a contract due, and although its good it offers the general user nothing of note over the S3 only software gimicks that get switched off after a week. Now its time to upgrade again and looking at the S5 I see nothing that will inspire me to go for that over any of the others. I will probably go for the Sony Z2, just so I notice that I've got a new phone.
