2560x1440 is about 3.7M pixels. 1920x1080 is about 2M pixels. In short, 1440p (2560x1440 or 2.5K) is almost 200% more pixels than 1080p (1920x1080 or 2K). It is certainly more than 20%.
The article mis-represents the GFXBench score. It is actually INCREDIBLE and easily the best smartphone GPU on the site currently given the number of pixels that are being drawn at that resolution.

Ah ! See the difference in performance between Quadcore Snapdragon 801 And the so called OctaCore Exynos chipset ! I am not going to buy that Exynos overpriced shit for $865! After the release of WP 8.1, better I will get a Lumia 930 or wait for Lumia 1820 with QHD to get announced.

I extremely hope, that it will be an upgraded variant of the S5! (Obviously for me, for all the fans and for Samsung) at least they must upgrade it to QHD Display, 3GB RAM,& 32GB device storage, and even STEREO SPEAKERS. or if not!? I will not switch From my S4 to S5, but to LG (G3) if it will have these features!!!!!!!!!!!!?

It was very disappointing that the s5 didnt have a qHD screen when oppo will release one soon. I hope this article would come out true and it makes sense that Samsung doesnt confirm the rumer of a qHD fone soon coz that will put their s5 sales to tje ground.

The performance is extremely impressive considering that this 2.5K (1440p) device is pushing almost 200% more pixels than comparable 2K (1080p) displays. I am very excited about the Adreno 420, and this preliminary result does not disappoint!
