tomakali, 06 Apr 2014I still wish Nokia E7 will reborn with WP8.1I am using Nokia E7 again on software Delight Belle. Far better, faster and more versatile than my Lumia 820 in most aspects. Even 808 pureview is o Delight Belle and my Lumia 1020 is smoked by 808. I mean it.

People need to use Windows Phone 8 before they can talk. Windows Phone 8.1 is looking up to be a very good update.

Amazing how the E6 is able to record 720p videos with only a 680 Mhz processor. It was a great phone back then and QWERTY keyboard was simply awesome. As a QWERTY fan, I still use my Nokia X2-01 as a backup phone for texting and it's getting fragile as it is aging besides my Nokia N8 and my droid. These days BlackBerry and some Nokia Asha phones are the only options for QWERTY fans like myself. I wish some OEM revamp and bring QWERTY to life again.

that windows mobile 6.5 screenshot made me miss my xperia x1. it was my first venture to the realm of smartphone, and boy did i have such a great time playing with it. my x1 rocks with wm6.5.3!

The spiritual successor to the Nokia E6 was the BlackBerry Q10. BB10 is the closest thing (outside Jolla) to realizing the true vision of a Meego (Linux + Qt) enabled device (BB10 is QNX + Qt with Android app support). If BlackBerry sold their phones under any other name, it would be a hit.
One thing missing from this list was the Nokia E7. I loved watching the research put into that form factor. Unfortunately, in the age of buttonless slab phones, adding moving parts and buttons is too expensive on a wide scale. That phone would have been great running Windows Phone.

My Xperia Play is 3 years now and still rocking. The phone is still stuck on Gingerbread though :(

WP6 (PPC) was a powerful OS. People nowadays are dumb enough to use simpler OS like WP8.

I'd love to see a QWERTY in the WP8.1 lineup. That would be amazing.
Instead, BlackBerry is pretty much the only option these day (especially to those outside the US).

Windows Mobile OS is much much better than Windows Phone. It's a powerful ARM platform, and in term of features it's more akin to desktop Windows than WP.
Developer friendly, enterprise friendly, lot of customization, native file explorer, no app limitation.
If only MS update Windows Mobile OS with better touch API, modern UI, and centralized app market, it will beat Android and iOS in an instant. Too bad MS blinded with greediness, not realizing their own potential.
