AnonD-251771, 07 Apr 2014A larger screen COULD mean a hit on battery life but that a... moreActually, the S5 is 5.4mm longer, 2.7mm wider and 0.2mm thicker than the S4... given the screen is almost the same size it seems that these size increases are due to dust and water proofing.

For the sake of size I hope the Note 4 has a max 6" screen (5.7 is fine with me) and no water and dust proofing.

AnonD-215925, 07 Apr 2014omg omg :D u made me laugh strongly xD hahahaaa G2 looks ga... moreYour comment kinda looks... st*pid, please type better in the future. This is a tech site, after all, not Facebook. We don't speak the usual internet mumbo jumbo.
Anyway, I think he's talking about the G2 LITERALLY looking like S4 (minus the rear-key innovation, kinda looks cool in my opinion)
Second, TouchWiz is SO MUCH BETTER! than LG's Optimus. I swear to god, my friend's Galaxy Win is epic compared to my LG L9. TouchWiz is considered laggy only because there's more chance of a unit going haywire when there are more units being produced. My point being, lots of people buy Notes, and less people buy G2's. That means that Notes will have a higher chance of having a defective unit, or even a functional unit that sadly doesn't live up to the user's standards. Sometimes, people buy a note (or even G2, or any high-end phone) expecting zero lag and I'm pretty sure that that's nearly impossible. People also say iPhones don't lag but I'm pretty sure I've seen my friend's iPhone 5 lag more than once.
As for innovation, like I said, the rear key is an innovation and it's cool. But it's not everyone's cup of tea. Other than that, G2 is a shameless rip-off of S4. So basically it can keep up with Note 3, until the S-pen comes in. That's where G2 (and all other phablets) loses. So yeah, we can't say that G2 is "lack of innovation", but for me, S5 is good enough an upgrade (minus the design, but haven't seen it in person yet. Though I'm planning on buying Note 4, not S5) It's hard to make a flagship phone that's worthy enough to replace the 2013 flagships. Most companies pretty much exhausted all the obvious and easy ways to "innovate", or generally just make your phone even a bit easier (or more fun) to use.
But, this is a tech site, so please bear in mind that this is just an opinion. Except the typing thing. That's a fact.

I would like a flexible display in at least Note 4 if S5 missed out on it. A bit wider than Note 3. There should be some significant diff. between a phablet width and phone width viz. Galaxy S5 and Note 4 sizes. It was surprising to see the pioneers turning conservative viz.cf. to width diff. between Note II and Note III.

Note 3, the best. Note 4 will be the best too.
          Simple as it is.

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2014Samsung you need some key things to make this successful ... morehere's my thoughts on each of those points:
-Dual SIM: Not all models need it, I'm sure they will pop up, and if not, I don't really care, but some might I guess.
-IP 67: Disagree entirely. someone else just said the only thing waterproofing did to the S5 was add .2mm thickness, but that's not true. it added size in every direction (adding bezel, not just screen size), thus is much larger and over 11.5% heavier. They should stick with the Active releases for people that want to make the bulk/resistance trade-off.
            -5000mAh battery: keep dreaming.
-4GB RAM: they actually have the tech, samsung announced LPDDR4 ram, with 4GB capacity. Should have been in the S5, let alone Note 4.
-64-bit Octacore: better have it, though it seems we're waiting on Google for 64-bit on android.
-Optical Image Stabilization: I'd rather not actually, for a similar reason as the IP67. OIS cameras are huge, and require the phone to be thicker and bulkier. (like HTC One and LG G2) this is the reason that companies like Samsung and apple has stayed away from OIS. Plus there are other tricks that help make the picture nice.
-64GB on board: Yes please. I assume we will get 32/64 versions like the Note 3, just they should make the 64 more available. plus with 128GB upgradable, there's lots of space anyway.

Not sure how I feel about the QHD display though. It's totally pointless on a 5" screen, but maybe could be worthwhile on a ~6" screen.

gilda, 07 Apr 2014So whoever bought a Note 3 will have an obsolete or ''old''... morebitter?... this practise has being going on since mobiles came on to the market and why should the N3 become old stock and no good? The S3 S2 Iphone4S and plenty of other "old" handsets are still better than most out today for example an S2 is better than a Fame so is the Fame better or both no good to anyone????

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2014I just hope Samsung doesn't kill the Note 4 like they did t... moreA larger screen COULD mean a hit on battery life but that all depending on the battery size and tech they use in the phone. And adding water and dust resistance added like .2mm when comparing the GS5 to the GS4. I think that is a small price to pay to insure that walking in the rain isn't going to kill my phone

i hope mobile developers reads this don't use "#throwback inovation" ok just go for "future inovation"
because that what people wants and also the design there is no improvements on it for the example the futuristic movies i think movies will give them inspirations for making new and amazing things again.

Note 3 is a perfect phone for me. If we are to add new features, the only thing I would love is built-in digital radio (DAB+). Next maybe built-in digital TV (DVB-T).
