Correct me if i am wrong. When the GM Update would be available almost all of you would have to roll back to the stable version and then update to the new 8.1 version. And in that process almost many would have issues as most of the people are not that much phone geeks and most would result in bricking up their phones. Everyone is pretty excited to update though but rolling back to the original update would be a pretty tough task.

Question - How to install Windows Phone 8.1 "Developer Preview"?
Answer:
1) Sign up to be a Windows Phone developer at appstudio.windowsphone.com for free using the Microsoft account associated with your phone.
2) Get the Preview for Developers app from the Windows Phone Store
3) Run the app and sign in with your Microsoft account.
4) Check for updates (Settings > Phone update > Check for updates) and download/install any that are available. You’ll have an update to download and install before Windows Phone 8.1 shows up if you’re downloading the Preview for Developers program for the first time.

Personally, I have updated my Lumia 520, 920, updating 1020 right now. I am so much excited when I was using WP8.1 on my 520. It rocks and the phone is still smooth as it was before. Cortana is just amazing. Thank god it understand my ascent lol. But I am really really happy. All the patience I was keeping has led out to this beautiful version of Windows Phone 8.1 Thank you Microsoft and Nokia. You guys are the best. Enjoying it :)

The update is solid. There are a lot of changes In the look and feel and it is awesome. Only problem is that the windows store is not opening at the moment. I get a message to try again later.
But anyway it sure is worth it!

Not really worth $19.
Yeah I can use AppStudio for free, but it allows max 2 sideloaded apps. With normal $19 developer account I can sideload up to 10 apps.
Or I can just wait for regular update much later.
WP is locked-down like a jail, it's ridiculous why they have to limit the number of apps you can sideload!
