pl... moreBesides improving RF signal quality compared to metal chassis phones, plastic also improves resilience to force, e.g. when dropping the phone on the ground etc. In a stiff metal chassis all forces are transferred to the vulnary parts inside the phone, whereas a plastic chassis absorbs some of the energy from the impact.
People who prefer metal smartphones may have good taste and sense of style and fashion - but they cannot have a great deal of technical insight.

That's why many choose Samsung for their cheapness in the built. I really don't understand why would the people pay tonnes of money to buy something that's Cheap built?

plastic phone with removable back cover is more good to me and to some people.
plastic phone does have better signal than metal phone

Anyone who really wants to comment on this should first familiarize themselves with the ISAI LGL22 which is basically a LG G2 in KDDI clothing + water resistant. After doing so, you'd come to and see that this news, specs, and photos are probably in fact legit.
The LGL22 also has "LG Electronics" written on the back the same as this LGL24.
Recently Chinese resellers everywhere have got stock and started selling the LGL22 ISAI as a cheaper alternative to the G2 for about $330 USD. Maybe Japan offloaded all their unsold LGL22's to China in preparation of launching this LGL24.

The first isai LGL22 had been launched last winter. And about smartphone with thin bezel? SHARP AQUOS PHONE SERIE mini SHL24 was one of it.
