mrJ, 22 Apr 2014I have heard of Blu, but can anyone tell me more about ther... moreIn my household, we have three (3) different models of BLU phones currently: one (1) Studio 5.0S and two (2) BLU Studio 5.5, and the new BLU Studio 5.5S (our 5.3S model is out of commission due to someone sitting on it, lol). I can report they are ALL excellent for the money paid. Each one has 1 Gig RAM, typically 4 Gig onboard storage (though you have to keep in mind the OS eats up a chunk of it). SD cards run perfectly fine (16gb and 32gb - haven't used 64gb yet). Operation has been smooth, and being fully unlocked we use Straight Talk - no problems there, everything is smooth. The 5.5 model actually does get 4G speed (NOT LTE). For the money, and US-based support, I just haven't found better. And yes, I intend to get the BLU Studio 6.0 HD once it is released.
The ONLY main issue is after-market cases and such. So far, the Studio 5.5 has about the best selection of the BLU lines we own. If you don't mind not having a fitted case, there are options to tide you over until fitted ones become available. But, considering overall phone quality for the money I save, I don't mind one bit.

The Blu phones are good, nice and cheap, with good characteristics generally taking their money, are more than good for everyone, I have a live blu 4.3 and I think it's great, of course taking into account their limitations. However, it is unforgivable that haver several months out Kit Kat, even Blu 4.2.2 android phones launch. This limits the equipment may not have additional security features or the last. Blu should pay attention to this, other manufacturers provide cheap computers and Android 4.4.

I would buy this if even with 1GB of RAM. It's a great substitute for a smaller tablet and it even has call capabilities. Totally YES. Where can it be purchased from?

Wasting all that effort in typing when I don't even want to have a real constructive argument. Yeah, I lpst on this one. Can't really defend a product (Blu) that is worth shit in the first place.

Some of the shots have really bad smudges on the right center side and the detail is very low once you go and take photos where there are a lot of leaves and buildings. Close ups are ok though. Megapixels actually do matter if you have an adequate sized sensor.

1. Snapdragon 801 - 1.2ghz Cortex a7 vs 2.3 Ghz Krait 330
2. Dual Camera - it gives abbility to make 3D photo and even 3D video (not made by HTC but anyone can) and i doubt HTC`s 4mp will rape Blu`s 30mp camera, its not MEGAPIXEL war anymore, MP isnot that main for now to make better quality
3. Metal body vs Cheap plastic
4. even M8 has 2600mAh battery, Sense 6 gives ultra battery saving which is ton better than other 3000mAh cheap devices battery
5. if u have money, u won`t buy some cheap piece of shit like it, BETTER TO PAY ONCE AND MORE, THEN MORE THEN TWICE AND LESS
P.S screen ? ye maybe HTC is bigger for that screen what it has but even its FHD not HD display -_- and with FHD display its battery will last longer then this

And the camera is bound to be better than the 4 ultrapixel gimmick on the M8 (all current phone cams from other OEMs are actually better). Even the front facing cam on the M8 is better. Ha! And also the price. 250 dollars vs 700-800 dollars in some countriea. You save tons of money and can buy other gadgets.
