For them, getting charged more for a product that costs much less to produce is something to be proud of. They don't care how much it costs and how much profit the company reaps off of them by selling cheaper product at a higher price. They are a unique breed who like and are proud of getting overcharged, which in turn makes the company of their worship richer than other companies even though they sell less.

On the contrary, profit and sales have been exploding since then. I wonder who has been eating up or the "so called unsold phones made by Samsung". Keep trying, hard.

                A. They didn't force KNOX onto ppl that didn't want it in the first place.
                B. Let the customers decide what bloat they would like on their phone. Come on, advertising a phone as a 16gb when it only had about 9.5gb available to the owner? wtf Samsung.

Srsly, they just need to release a vanilla version to all of their phones.

Get over it. That's targeted at teens who have no idea about sound quality. Despite the better speakers, the DAC performs worse than samsung ones. S series have a clear and quite good sound quality on the line out.

Put it short - Samsung thought that music should be flawless, but not played through the speakers, since that's not the smartphone intention. I agree.

I love Samsung, but for me HTC offer everything I want - the dual front mounted speakers and Beats Audio are more than just a gimmick, they offer an incredible experience that no other phone can match. I would be seriously torn if Samsung also took this approach.

With regard to the dip in profit, Samsung are spending millions on research, but I reckon they're hitting the same wall Apple have hit for the last two years: their phone is not sufficiently different from the previous generation, so people are not bothering to spend a fortune getting out of contract or buying the new phone outright. This affects Apple, Samsung and now HTC with the One M8 - no way I'm buying out of my contract to get a slightly more powerful version of the same phone with no realistic differences. (No matter how awesome the new One is.)

Sales of Galaxy S5 will definitely be lower than S4. Samsung will keep playing the 'shipped' vs ' actual units sold' game, but there is only so much they can cover up.
