I don't know why people think S5 is ugly, I have a s5 and it is better looking than HTC M8 imo based on the look of the phone, I am not speaking about materials here. That large black bar under the screen on the m8 is terrible, I would rather this S5 active over m8 even though this is ugly

I had s4 active. It has even Aqua Mode to take pictures underwater. But it even leaks rainwater, or water from wet hands. and had damage to mainboard and screen. and warranty doesnt cover it. stay away from samsung active products.

Super ugly phone. the S4 active looks a lot better than the s5 active. Too much top and bottom bezels and uninspiring and unattractive overall design. Clearly not an improvement in design. It will look ridiculous beside the xperia Z2.
