You Know Me, 03 Jun 2014Android doesn't use 64-bit and neither does Apple. Having ... moreThe operative word is "yet". The iPhone doesn't utilize 64-bit apps yet, but as I stated, a lot of advances can take place over the course of a year.

64-bit is the future, it will inevitably happen. It's a major head start and a tech advantage any way you look at it. Simply put...it's one less thing to worry about.

Don't get me wrong: I love Apple hardware and I quite like their OS (both OSX and iOS) too but I hate their PR and marketing strategies and the stupid sheep flock, happy to believe anything they say without second guessing. They don't know anything else about their beloved products than the features advertised in big colorful commercials and they certainly don't know a thing about the non-Apple devices they loathe so much.

AnonD-270061, 03 Jun 2014Oh yeah, because from 'that time' to this time, people grow... moreYes, if Apple was consequent with their explanations (and excuses) they'd say that getting bigger and bigger screens (both physical and virtual dimensions) is just an empty hype - they have the ideal screen size for the majority of people with a pixel density which is more than enough. Apparently this is not the case.

You Know Me, 03 Jun 2014Android doesn't use 64-bit and neither does Apple. Having ... moreThe point? Well, my iPhone is a 64-bit device, your Android phone is just a lame old 32-bit one... so outdated, so prehistoric. I can tell for sure you're not one of the cool kids. It's hip to own useless stuff! It's hip to be a shopwindow geek without any actual knowledge about CPU architectures or application development (or any knowledge beyond how to share your breakfast on Instagram).

Back to the original point: If you're touting the iPhone's 64-bit processor, then name the apps that take advantage of it. If you can't, then what's the point? If Samsung had a 64-bit processor with no apps to take advantage of it, you would make the same argument.

Ryo Saeba, 03 Jun 2014Future proof for what? Most people don't even keep their p... moreSo you believe Android has no intentions of implementing 64-bit architecture this year?

Will you still call it useless if they do?

A lot of advances can transpire over the course of a year with mobile tech.

Also, iPhone owners tend to keep their devices a lot longer than its Android counterpart. And why shouldn't they? The iPhone still commands a premium price...even used. Factor in sustainable HW & SW & even a used iPhone is quite capable.

And there will be iphone mini too. And then iPhone A, iPhone B, iPhone C and so on..

You Know Me, 02 Jun 2014But Steve Jobs said 4" was the perfect size!! Tim C... moreI bet they are going to address that at the release. They will say something like "at the time, 4 inch was the perfect size." Then go on and make a bunch of excuses of why they went bigger. Then everyone in the audience will wet their pants.

AnonD-212255, 03 Jun 2014List the apps on Android with 64 bit...List the devices on ... moreFuture proof for what? Most people don't even keep their phones for more then 2 years. 64 bit for a phone is a gimmick and you know it. Stop trying to defend a company who will always be playing catch up since the iPhone 4. I bet Apple will say they've reinvented the 4.7" screen on their next release.

You Know Me, 02 Jun 2014Please list these 64-bit apps. 4GB RAM in iPhones too?List the apps on Android with 64 bit...List the devices on Android with 64 bit.

Despite the lack of implementation of 64 bit apps, I'd still rather have the upgraded HW over a heartbeat monitor.

It's Called future proofing...something Samsung know nothing about.
