Lenovo S860 ROW version has also got the Kit Kat 4.4.2 update OTA and it is working well.

For those who have doubt about Mediatek support for Kit-Kat 4.4.2, Lenovo P780 already getting update through it's new firmware Vibe UI. Yes, Lenovo P780 (Mediatek MTK-6589) is now running Android 4.4.2 Kit-Kat.

(meaning if your Mediatek phones doesn't run Kitkat then blame your vendor, don't blame Mediatek as they obviously have upgraded drivers available).

It actually has a quad-core 2.2 ghz Snapdragon 800 with Krait 400's. It's hardly low rent. For the specs vs price it's actually spectacular value.
